Frequently asked questions

Question : I make a lot of queries but get a server error. What should I do?

The number of calls to the Open API is limited to 1000 calls per day, per API key. Contact support if you require a higher limit.

Question : Do I have the right to store data retrieved from the Open API and/or the media files (images, sounds)?

No, each Open API client must use the data immediately following the query; a cutoff server (proxy) that could store Open API data is not authorised. To be clear, your client (mobile app, website) must retrieve the data directly from the Open API by using your API key.

Question : Can I use the Open API for a live radio or podcast stream application?

No, we do not authorise the Open API to be used for this purpose.

Question : How can I simply integrate audio streams into my web application using the Open API?

You can use the autonomous web player developed by Radio France. To do this, simply add the playerUrl field to your requests (available in all broadcasts and live broadcasts of the different brands). You will then receive in response the url of the player, with the requested audio stream, which you can listen to directly or integrate into your site inside an iframe.

Question : Can I use Radio France logos and brands in my application?

Yes, this is allowed provided you respect the user charter.
